We are trying something new – buying wine that comes in boxes. No, not your parents’ Franzia bag-in-a-box.
This is decent wine in Tetra Paks. No glass or corks, only high quality packaging that can be recycled and makes sense. (Less of our money goes to transportation and bottling costs!) And with good packaging… wineries can give you good wine, and usually more of it.
I think there is a new generation of wine-drinkers who’s beginning to thoughtfully put common sense ahead of tradition, in the right places. Smart boxed wine will become socially acceptable - the factor that must flourish for this to work…and hopefully soon, you might even be saying it’s cool.
